PacktLib, Packt Publishing’s online digital library, is pleased to announce that the trial version of the library is now available. To help visitors see how PacktLib works, 10 books have been made accessible to anyone that logs in to the library from the PacktLib homepage.
There is no obligation when visitors use the trial version of PacktLib as they can log in without signing up for an account. However, if they already have an account with Packt, they are welcome to login with their email and password. Once visitors have logged in to the library, they will be able to view the following ten books.

- RSS and Atom: Understanding and Implementing Content Feeds and Syndication
These books are about projects and Enterprise products, giving readers a range of topics to learn more about the relevant computer technologies and to increase skills and capabilities. Several books focus on how to develop a fully functional and powerful website using a specific content management system. Furthermore, by clicking on the “Show all books in library” button on the central toolbar, readers will be able to see a list of the entire collection of Packt’s books that have been published in PacktLib. More than 700 books have been classified into different categories. By clicking on a category, readers will also be able to view a sample chapter of a book if the book cover has an orange “Sample” label on it.
In the library, readers can adjust the size of text and/or change the contrast settings to enrich the reading experience. Pages can also be printed from PacktLib giving readers the ability to keep information at hand. There is a search function that can be used to search across the 10 free books, making it easier for readers to find solutions to their problems. As PacktLib is on demand from the cloud, content can also be accessed from any browser connected to the internet, for example, on the iPad.
