NYC cuts back on meals for children

New York City is cutting back on the meals it serves to children this summer.

Thousands of kids city-wide depend on the free breakfasts and lunches served at public schools, parks and housing projects.

Now the Department of Education has cut back on the locations where food is served by 22 percent.

It says the number of sites fluctuates each year and adjustments are made, according to demand.
