Decorate your backyard with cool toys for children

Outdoor activities will help children grow and develop emotionally, mentally and socially and exercises are important for physical growth. It is the role of the parents to motivate children to get out and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. Children need to realize the pleasure that is obtained by playing on outdoor toys and hanging out with friends. Another task of parents is to choose the right outdoor equipment that is high quality and durable for many years.

Today the market of outdoor toys is crowded as there are so many different varieties of play equipment, including sand pits, trampolines, toddler ride ons, slides and swings.

Outdoor games have different effects on different body parts. For example, bouncing a trampoline is required for physical strength and hand-eye coordination while climbing is good for strengthening muscles. However it is not possible to buy all the toys for children, which is one reason that many parents decide to buy one toy and attach various accessories to form a perfect system of outdoor play based on the preferences of children.

If you buy swings, there is a variety of accessories in different colors and motifs for children of different ages. Read full article…

The benefits of playing outside

Today it seems like a foreign concept for children to play outside. Until about 15 years, it was assumed that, after school, on weekends and during school holidays, playing outside is something that all children have participated in. You can continue this tradition buying Samba football goals, if you and your child like playing soccer.

With the advent of personal computers, and with more advanced video games, children found that there was no reason to get out more. Add to that the concerns of parents about child safety, and now there is a generation of children who are obese more than ever in history. There are also children who have poor social skills and can not interact properly. Those children who remained within the 15 years or so are some of our young workforce now. He takes over for Brian Davis, who stepped down earlier this month citing a need to find a full-time teaching job.

Davis is moving over to Tahoma, where he was also hired as a teacher.

Is ‘tornado season’ part of Mountain Empire’s weather now?

The night was windy and dark. Thunderstorms cropped up along the horizon, heading eastward, toward the Tri-Cities. Lightning flashed through the sky and the dreaded t-word – tornadoes – crossed people’s minds and escaped their lips.

Wind whipped outside, strewing sports equipment across roadways and wrapping a trampoline around a telephone pole.

Storm shelters opened in Abingdon, Bristol and surrounding counties. People, afraid because they lived in mobile homes or apartments, drove cautiously through the dark to reach those shelters.

Others descended into their basements, bringing family pets, supplies and flashlights. They turned on weather radios or tuned in local television news stations, which broadcast storm coverage almost all night.

They waited.

And, everyone seemed to have the same thought: Here we go again.

The storms of March 2 did spawn a few, small tornadoes, though nothing like the killers that swept through this region almost a year ago. Still

10 Reasons the Human Capital Zeitgeist Is Emerging

The race for skilled talent is picking up speed and could have long-term implications in the job market. A Human Capital Zeitgeist, is emerging as companies big and small are getting smacked with the realization that talent management is SO critical to competing in a volatile marketplace, they might actually have to throw a bit more respect at the “human” in the human capital equation.

This socio-cultural shift must address the work-life merge and worker satisfaction, like never before. Imagine a new workforce era ruled by a culture where human capital is cherished, instead of demoralized and asked to do more –for less of a paycheck.

Recent studies speak volumes. Despite what Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke described as “an uneven and modest recovery.” Fully engaged skilled employees are fast becoming a desperately needed commodity, even in a climate of high unemployment as I wrote in my recent Forbes post last month C-Suite Beware: This Could be the Year of the Employee Backlash.
